About TattooCert
TattooCert is a Colorado training company. The bloodborne pathogens course is written and maintained by working emergency medical providers, from the text of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 and OSHA's published guidance. The body-art version adds a lesson on the station, the shop and licensing.
OSHA does not approve, accredit or certify training courses. The standard requires that trainees can ask questions of a person who knows the material. Questions sent through the support page are answered by a medical provider.
Certificates
Every certificate has a verification number and QR code. Shops, inspectors and health departments can look up any certificate at tattoocert.com/verify.
Acceptance
Health departments and licensing boards decide which certificates they accept. Some keep approved-provider lists or set hour minimums. The state and county page lists what each one publishes.
